Best Practices for a Successful Campaign

A quick overview of how to make the most of the platform

Now that you've got your campaign up and running, here are some actions you can take to ensure things go smoothly. View our User Guide for more best practices and learn how to leverage Trend to the fullest!

Selecting Your Creators

  • Approve creators in a timely manner 

  • Preview creator portfolios by clicking on their profile. Note: If you have a video campaign, look for creators who have great video examples. Although a creator might have great photography examples, they may not be the right fit for your video campaign.

  • There are multiple creator levels that you can choose from. Creator levels are determined by their content style. Creator levels correlate with their costs (level 1 = 1 credit to work with). View more about creator levels here.

  • When you reject an account, you can select why or type a personal note.

  • See a creator that you really like? Select the heart icon next to their profile to save them to your favorites.


Shipping Product 

  • If you have physical goods and will be sending them to the creator directly, be sure to ship in a timely manner. This will continue the campaign's momentum 

  • Adding tracking information for the creators is extremely important as it creates a 7-day due date once the tracking is showing delivered on the carrier's end.

  • Upload tracking information syncs with our email system and automates the entire communication process for you.

Messages

  • Chat with creators here. Communicating is key to a smooth campaign.

  • Communication must be kept within Trend messages. Requesting to communicate by any other means outside of Trend is a violation of our TOS.

  • Ensure you have message notifications enabled so you don't miss any messages.

  • If you’d like to work with the creator again, you can discuss inviting them to a new campaign and/or brainstorm new campaign/content ideas.

Approving Content 

  • Be sure to approve or reject content before the auto-approval timer is up as you will not be able to revisit the content once it has been approved.

  • Auto-approval times:

    • 90 hours for content

    • 24 hours for social posts

  • You have 1 revision per creator - you’ll have the ability to provide feedback for the creator to revise the content. Revisions are based on your creative requirements.

  • Leverage the content! You can download images and repurpose them wherever and however you see fit.

  • Creators should automatically receive payment from Trend. If they send you a message inquiring about that, simply direct them to support@trend.io
