      Answers to our most common creator questions

      Getting Started

      What is Trend?

      Trend is an iOS app (Trend.io) that connects creators to brands who are looking to create custom content. In exchange, creators get paid for their work.

       

      How does Trend work?

      Once you've been approved as a creator into the Trend network, finding work is easy!

      1. Turn on your notifications.

      2. Upload content to your Trend portfolio that best describes your aesthetic and sets you apart.

      3. Browse campaigns and review the ones you are most interested in.

      4. Apply to campaigns.

      5. When you are approved for a campaign, you will be notified.

      6. Message the brand and ask any possible questions you might have for them.

      7. The brand sends you the product.

      8. After the product arrives, you have 7 days to shoot content and upload it for review.

      9. If the brand offers a service instead of a product, you will not be sent a product, and your content due date will be 7 days upon approval.

      10. Once you upload your content and the brand approves it, you will be paid out instantly. The campaign is complete!

      11. Brands have the chance to approve additional assets upon a creator uploading them so make sure to upload all the work you created for the brand! You will be compensated for each additional asset approved. The campaign is complete, so message them and let them know you'd love to produce more content for them!

      How do I apply to join Trend?

      To apply, you first need to download the Trend app by following this link:

      Open the Trend app and tap “Apply To Join Now” to create your account and apply to join the Trend network!

       

      What are the minimum requirements?

      1. iOS device required

      How do I know my application status?

      Trend has a waitlist of creators - log in to the Trend app to check the status of your application.

      How do I know if I was approved for the Trend network?

      If you are approved for the Trend network, you will receive an email and/or notification from the Trend app and/or immediately gain access to the Trend marketplace when you log in to the Trend app.

      Where can I view the Terms of Service?

      Payment

      How much am I paid for a campaign?

      You will find your payment amount in your Trend.io app in the promotions tab once approved into the network. 

      When do I get paid for a campaign?

      You are automatically paid when required deliverables are approved, and the campaign is marked as completed.

       

      Marketplace/Applying to Campaigns

      How do I apply to campaigns?

      Look for the campaigns that are most appealing to you by checking the campaign image, title, and the product value. Tap on the campaign image to open the campaign summary and view the requirements to complete the campaign. After reading the requirements, tap the “Apply for Partnership” button to send the brand your application.

       

      When will I hear back from a campaign I applied for?

      If the brand approves you for the campaign, you will receive an email, a Trend app notification, and a message when you open the Trend app to let you know you were selected! The campaign will appear in your “My Partnerships” tab.

       

      What happens if I don’t hear back from a brand?

      Your application to the brand will expire after 40 days. If you do not hear back from a brand they are either reviewing your application or have rejected your application.

       

       

      Submitting Campaigns

       

      How long do I have to create content for a campaign?

      You are given 7 days to create content and submit it to the brand after the product arrives at your address. If your content is rejected, you'll have 3 days to resubmit your revisions.

       

      What happens if I am overdue for a campaign?

      If you don't deliver within the given timeframe (7 days), the campaign will be considered overdue. If you do not upload on time, you will not be able to apply to new campaigns until you've uploaded for your overdue partnership. If you do not upload within 48 hours of being overdue you will be suspended from Trend indefinitely.

       

      How long does it take for my content to get approved?

      Brands are given 4 days (96 hours) to review content to approve or reject it. If the brand has not made a decision after 96 hours, the content is automatically approved by the Trend platform.

       

       

      Profile

      What is my content rating?

      After you complete a campaign, the brand will rate your work. Content rating is public to all brands who are reviewing your application, so keep it high!

       

      What is my responsiveness rating?

      This measures how long it takes you to respond to messages. Lower responsiveness ratings mean you have great communication. Responsiveness rating is public to all brands who are reviewing your application.

       

      How do I keep my ratings high?

      Best practices to keep a high Trend Rating include: following the campaign's summary, communicating via messages, uploading on time, and producing great content! 😄
